Ukrainian Drone Strike on Russia Kills 2
RUSSIA – A Ukrainian drone strike on Russia‘s Black Sea port of Tuapse left 2 people dead, according to the Krasnodar Region Governor Veniamin Kondratyev on Thursday.
Kondratyev said that the victims were aged 5 and 14, with the attack damaging 30 buildings.
Anapa, Gelendzhik, and Sochi cities also came under high aerial attacks.
A state of emergency was later declared following the heavy aerial strikes in the Tuapse district.
“A state of emergency has been declared in the Tuapse District. Drone debris damaged 24 private and six apartment buildings, as well as two educational institutions and a music school. Damage assessment commissions have been working on the scene since this morning,” Kondratyev said in a Telegram statement.
A temporary accommodation was set up, according to the Tuapse city administration, and 10 people were already hosted.
“One temporary detention center was deployed at the school, and there are ten people there,” the administration said.
In other reports, a Ukrainian drone strike on Thursday morning targeting an energy infrastructure in Belgorod region caused fire, according to the Belgorod Region Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov.
“This morning, a drone attack on an energy infrastructure facility caused a fire. Fire crews are working to extinguish the blaze,” Gladkov reported.
He also said that power and water supply in the region was disrupted, adding that emergency services were working on restorations.
