Coal Mine Explosion in China Kills 4

CHINA – Four people were killed and 3 others went missing after a coal mine explosion in southwest China, according to authorities on Thursday Dec. 25.

The accident occurred Wednesday at the Daying coal mine in Zhenxiong County around 8.10 pm (1210GMT), the county government said, according to the state-run Xinhua news agency.

Rescue operations and an investigation into the cause of the accident are underway.
