YEMEN – US air strikes in Yemen has killed over 60 after the strikes targeted Saada detention center which holds African migrants. A large number of dead has been reported and is expected to rise, while dozens have been injured.

The US Airstrikes Targeted Saada and Al-Jawf Governorates
According to security sources, the Saada airstrike targeted the African inmates who were held in the Saada detention center resulting to dozens of deaths and left many others injured.
The detention center held 115 African migrants.
Several airstrikes were carried out by the United States, scattering bodies everywhere and destroying the facility completely.
A footage shared by Al Masirah TV showed bodies scattered all over, while the detention center was left in ruins.
Al-Jawf governorate was targeted by 4 airstrikes.
Continued US Air Strikes in Yemen
Since Donald Trump took to office, the US has increased its airstrikes on Yemen, killing dozens and leaving destruction behind.
The Saada airstrike has left hospitals in the governorate struggling to accommodate the rising number of casualties.
So far, the US has carried out at least 800 airstrikes on Yemen, targeting the capital Sa’ana multiple times among other locations, claiming to target the “Houthi targets.”
