MOROCCO – At least 19 people were killed and 16 others injured after 2 residential buildings collapsed in Morocco early on Wednesday morning.

Citing local authorities, the official news agency MAP reported that two adjacent four-story buildings, housing eight families, collapsed in the Al-Massira neighborhood of Fes.

The injured were taken to University Hospital Center in Fez, while nearby homes were evacuated as search and rescue operations continued at the scene, according to the news agency.
