Palestinian Deaths in West Bank Since Oct. 7 at Least 1,013

PALESTINE – The total Palestinian deaths in West Bank since October 7 is now at least 1,013 after another person (male) was on Monday shot and killed by Israeli forces in Qabatiya.

The army later seized the body according to Palestinian Health Ministry.

In a statement, the ministry said the General Authority for Civil Affairs (liaison body with the Israeli side) informed that a Palestinian was killed by Israeli gunfire in the town of Qabatiya, south of Jenin.

It identified the victim as Yousef al-Amer, 33, noting that the Israeli army withheld his body.

Israeli forces surrounded an agricultural warehouse between the towns of Mirka and Qabatiya and targeted it with shoulder-fired rockets, killing the Palestinian man and destroying the warehouse, witnesses said.

Israeli military vehicles bulldozed the site and retrieved the body before withdrawing, they added.

Since the start of Israel’s genocidal war on the Gaza Strip in October 2023, at least 1,013 Palestinians have been killed and more than 7,000 injured in the West Bank by Israeli forces and illegal settlers, according to the ministry.

In an advisory opinion last July, the International Court of Justice declared Israel’s occupation of Palestinian territory illegal and called for the evacuation of all settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
