RUSSIA – At least 4 people were killed and another one injured after Ukrainian drone attacks on Samara Region according to the local governor Vyacheslav Fedorechev on Saturday.
“I am deeply saddened to announce that four lives have been lost due to a night attack by enemy drones. This is an irreplaceable loss for each and every one of us. My heartfelt condolences go out to the families and loved ones of those who perished,” he wrote on Russian social media network VKontakte.
The government of the Samara region remains in close contact with the affected families and will provide them with all necessary assistance, including financial support, he said.
“One person was injured during the attack. Our best medical professionals are doing everything possible to restore their health,” he said.
Russia Captures New Settlement in Dnipropetrovsk Region
Russia claimed on Saturday that its forces had captured the settlement of Berezove in Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region.
The village was captured by units of the Vostok (East) group of forces, Russia’s Defense Ministry said in a statement.
“During the assault, artillery units together with drone operators carried out fire strikes against enemy strongpoints, destroying military equipment and personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). Assault groups, having consolidated in the village, cleared trenches, buildings, basements, and adjacent forest belts,” it said
