At Least 39 Palestinians Killed in Gaza Today

PALESTINE – At least 39 Palestinians killed in Gaza today as Israel continues its strikes across the strip targeting civilians in tents and at aid distribution points.

Medics said that Israeli forces opened fire on a crowd of Palestinians gathered to receive food and other basic supplies, killing 10 and wounding more than 60 others.

The Israeli army also struck a gathering of civilians near Al-Hurriya School in the Zeitoun neighborhood, southern Gaza City, with drones, killing five civilians and injuring dozens.

Additionally, several citizens were killed and others injured in an Israeli strike targeting a gathering of civilians and children east of Al-Shawa Square along Salah al-Din Street, east of Gaza City.

At least two fatalities were brought to Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital following Israeli strikes on two residential buildings near Al-Shamaa Mosque in the Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast Gaza City.

A young girl was also killed by Israeli artillery shelling in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City, while a child died days later from wounds sustained in an Israeli attack on his family’s tent in al-Mawasi, Khan Younis, southern Gaza Strip.

One more civilian was killed in an Israeli drone strike near Salah al-Din Mosque in the Zeitoun neighborhood, southern Gaza City.

Additionally, a woman was killed and her husband arrested in the Qizan Abu Rashwan area, south of Khan Younis city in the southern Gaza Strip, while another woman died from injuries sustained days earlier in a strike on a tent in the al-Mawasi area west of the city.

Separately, an Israeli drone attack injured five civilians near the Al-Nazla roundabout in northern Gaza, after it dropped bombs on the area.

Several Palestinians have been killed trying to get food in the enclave since the controversial Gaza Humanitarian Foundation began operations in late May.
