CANADA – At least 9 people confirmed dead and others injured after a car plowed through a crowd of people who were part of the Lapu Lapu city festival on Saturday around 8pm, near Fraser Street and 43rd Avenue in Vancouver.

Driver who Plowed Through the Crowd in Custody
A 30 years old Vancouver man was apprehended by the crowd, and have been arrested by the Vancouver police. He was driving a black SUV.

“A number of people have been killed and multiple others are injured after a driver drove into a crowd at a street festival at E. 41st Avenue and Fraser shortly after 8 p.m. tonight. The driver is in custody. We will provide more information as the investigation unfolds.” Vancouver police reported.
At least 9 have been officially confirmed dead.
Lapu Lapu city festival is a street festival celebrated by the Filipino community.
Canadian Prime Minister expressed his condolences saying that “I offer my deepest condolences to the loved ones of those killed and injured, to the Filipino Canadian community, and to everyone in Vancouver.”
