Mass Famine in Gaza Kills 5

PALESTINE – On Wednesday, the Gaza Health Ministry said that 5 more Palestinians had died from the mass famine in Gaza Strip in the last 24 hours.

This addition brings the total death toll from starvation and malnutrition to 193.

A ministry statement added that 96 children were among the victims.

Israel has imposed a blockade on Gaza for 18 years and, since March 2, has shut down all crossings, blocking the entry of humanitarian aid and worsening conditions for the territory’s 2.4 million population.

According to Gaza’s Government Media Office, Israel had allowed in just 843 aid trucks since July 27 – far short of the 6,000 trucks required to meet the daily needs of residents over 10 days.

Total Palestinian Deaths in Gaza War

At least 61,158 Palestinians have been killed in the Gaza war since it began in October 2023 according to the health ministry on Wednesday.

A ministry statement said that 138 bodies were brought to hospitals in the last 24 hours, while 771 people were injured, taking the number of injuries to 151,442 in the Israeli onslaught.
