Isfahan Nuclear Facility in Iran Struck
Israel launched strikes today (Saturday) targeting the Isfahan nuclear facility in Iran as well as on Lenjan, Mobarakeh, Shahreza, and Isfahan County.
Isfahan’s Deputy Governor Akbar Salehi confirmed that the nuclear site in Isfahan was a primary target of the strikes, which triggered a swift response from Iran’s air defense systems, according to the report.
No casualties have been reported, and authorities assured the public that there has been no hazardous material leakage at the nuclear site or surrounding areas.
Iranian Quds Force Commander Killed in Qom Strike
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz announced Saturday that the Israeli Air Force had targeted and killed Saeed Izadi, the head of the Palestine Corps of Iran’s Quds Force, in a strike on an apartment in the central Iranian city of Qom.
According to statements reported by the Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronoth, Katz alleged that Izadi was responsible for funding and arming the Palestinian group Hamas in preparation for the Oct. 7, 2023 attacks.
There has been no immediate confirmation or response from Iranian authorities regarding the claim.
Israel Claims Killed IRGC Drone Commander
Israel said Saturday it conducted an airstrike Friday that killed Amin Pour Joudaki, commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Second Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Brigade.
“In his role, Amin Pour Joudaki coordinated hundreds of drone launches toward Israeli territory from the Ahvaz region in southwestern Iran,” it wrote on X.
