SOUTH AFRICA – At least 12 people have died today in a KwaZulu-Natal car accident on the R34 road. The accident was a collision between a bus and a truck, resulting to 10 deaths at the scene, while 2 died in hospital.
According to local officials, the bus was carrying supporters of a political party.
Ten passengers were seriously injured, while 22 others were slightly injured. All were transported to various hospitals for treatment.
The road has been closed indefinitely to allow police and emergency services to take care of the effected. Investigation to the cause of the accident has been launched.
