PALESTINE – Israeli attacks on Gaza Strip on Tuesday killed at least 85 Palestinians and injured several others according to medical reports.
Israeli warplanes struck tents sheltering displaced Palestinians in the Shati refugee camp in Gaza City, killing 16 Palestinians and injuring over 25 others, medical sources said.
According to the official Palestinian news agency WAFA, the victims – including women and children – were taken to Shifa Hospital in the same city following the predawn airstrike.
The Israeli army killed 15 Palestinians in an attack on a house in the northwest of Gaza City.
A young Palestinian was also killed when the Israeli army targeted aid seekers in western Gaza City, the sources added.
12 Palestinians were killed while waiting for aid trucks near the Zikim area north of Beit Lahia, which is under Israeli control.
In the southern city of Deir al-Balah, intensified Israeli strikes took the lives of two Palestinians amid ongoing ground offensives in the southern areas of the city.
Israel has killed more than 59,029 Palestinians, most of them women and children, in the Gaza Strip since October 2023. The military campaign has devastated the enclave, collapsed the health system, and led to severe food shortages.
