Israeli Army Launches Another Incursion into Syria’s Quneitra Province

SYRIA – Israeli forces on Saturday launched another incursion into Syria’s Quneitra province, the third after launching another 2 on Wednesday and Friday.

The state-run Al-Ikhbariya TV reported that Israeli forces moved eastward toward Tal al-Ahmar from the western side with two tanks and two military vehicles, hoisting the Israeli flag at the site before later pulling back.

The broadcaster said that a six-vehicle Israeli patrol also entered the villages of Bir Ajam, Bariqa, and both the eastern and western sides of Zubeida.

Another group, using three military vehicles, raided the villages of Ein Zivan and Abu Qubays.

Friday Incursions

Israeli forces advanced around the village of Saida al-Hanout in rural Quneitra and set up a checkpoint separating the village from the nearby Maghatra farm on Friday.

Israeli forces also renewed their incursion into the countryside of Quneitra along a road linking Jabatha al-Khashab with the villages of Ain al-Bayda and Ofania, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).

An Israeli unit of two vehicles entered the road connecting those villages, stopped in the area and searched passing civilians.

SANA also said that three Israeli military vehicles had advanced towards western Saida al-Hanout and erected a checkpoint between the village and the farm.

The agency reported that an Israeli patrol of five military vehicles also advanced from the al-Burj point in the city of Quneitra and moved toward the village of Eastern Samdaniyah in the northern countryside of Quneitra.

Israeli forces set up a checkpoint between Eastern Samdaniyah and the nearby village of al-Ajraf, according to the report.

After the fall of the Bashar al-Assad regime in late 2024, Israel expanded its occupation of the Syrian Golan Heights by seizing the demilitarized buffer zone, a move that violated the 1974 Disengagement Agreement with Syria.
