Iran Retaliatory Strikes on Israel Kills at Least 8
At least 8 people were killed and 103 injured in Iranian missile strikes targeting Israel early Monday, according to Israeli media reports.
The death toll in Israel as a result of Iran’s latest attacks has risen to 8 after 3 bodies of missing people in Haifa were confirmed dead. Two people had been earlier found in Bnei Brak and Petah Tikva, east of Tel Aviv, Israeli Channel 12 reported.
Yedioth Ahronoth reported that 103 injured people were hospitalized, with two of them reportedly in serious condition and seven in moderate condition.
Channel 12 reported direct hits on structures in the Gush Dan area, with several emergency teams responding to the scene.
It said the strikes damaged a number of buildings in central Israel, with fires at impact sites.
Some 16 fire and rescue teams are operating at several locations in the Dan and Central districts to locate and rescue trapped people, said Israel’s fire service, according to Channel 12.
Israeli police confirmed that weapons debris fell in at least two places in Tel Aviv District, causing property damage, with no immediate reports of casualties.
Similar incidents occurred in the coastal district, resulting in additional material and infrastructure damage.
Meanwhile, the public broadcaster KAN reported that the Israeli military detected hostile aircraft in the Milvot area and on the northern coast, and drones were intercepted in Eilat in the south and Rosh Hanikra in the north, according to Channel 12.
The Israeli military said early Monday that it detected missile launches from Iran, prompting the activation of defense systems and nationwide alerts.
Residents were ordered to enter protected areas upon receiving alerts and remain there until further notice, following the Home Front Command’s instructions.
A military spokesman confirmed that alerts were triggered in several areas following the detection of the missiles.
Israel’s Yediot Aharonot daily later reported that explosions were heard in northern and central Israel.
Amid these developments, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said they used a new method in this latest wave, which disrupted Israel’s defense mechanisms and caused them to target each other.
The latest escalation follows Israeli strikes on Iranian nuclear and missile facilities that killed military commanders and scientists, prompting Iran to retaliate with ballistic missiles that caused Israeli casualties and property damage.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz Warns Residents of Tehran of Possible Attack
Israeli defense minister on Monday threatened to intensify attacks on Tehran following the overnight Iranian missile attack.
“The arrogant dictator from Tehran has become a cowardly murderer, targeting civilian areas in Israel in order to deter the IDF from continuing its attack, which is crippling his capabilities,” Israel Katz wrote on X.
“The residents of Tehran will pay the price, and soon,” he added.
Mossad Spy Agents Working Inside Iran Exposed
Iran claims to have revealed a drone-manufacturing site used by Israeli agents in Tehran, local and state media reported on Monday.
Tasnim news agency said security forces found over 200 kilograms (440 pounds) of explosives in a three-story building that was used by “Israeli agents to assemble and store UAVs.”
Iran’s official news agency IRNA also reported the arrest of two people accused of spying for the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad in separate operations, as security forces confiscated explosives, equipment for 23 drones, and launchers from detainees.
Another Mossad spy was executed on Monday, after a criminal trial by Iran’s Supreme Court, Press TV said.
