Kenyans are great at forgetting, quick at following any political narrative that suits their tribal lines, and eager to criticize anyone with a differing point of view from that of their political idols even when it’s the truth, and that’s where the “Kenyan problem” comes from.
The Kenyan Problem
Kenyans have never made individual choices when it comes to politics. They have always been the sheep, tagged along by their tribal kingpins in whatever direction these kingpins decide is of benefit to them – not their followers/sheep.
Kenyans are ignorant, ever reliant on tribal political figures who always seek personal gains at the expense of the majority tribesmen that follow them.
The Kenyan politics are based on tribes, with each tribal group holding tight to its “tribal masters” and blindly trusting that they’re taking them in the right direction, but forgetting that these tribal masters/kingpins have selfish interest at heart.
That’s why in every election, Kenyans make voting choices in the same lines and after the elections, they continue to suffer, while their kingpins – whether within the government or acting as opposition – continue to benefit and never consider the challenges being faced by their so called people.
Take a good example of the current “broad-based government” which was touted as an inclusive government, but whose main objective is to remove and eliminate competition and silence the voices of those who might be fighting battles for Kenyans.
Since its establishment, Kenyans have lived through hell, and the ignorant can’t see the reality as yet despite their sufferings since their so called “kingpins” are in the government and are themselves silent through it all since they’re enjoying “the fruits of their labor” and so must be with the government, for better or worse.
The Silence of the Lambs
There’s a criminal gang operating within the government which operates without rules or limitations, targeting anyone who dares question the Kenyan government or its leadership.
We’ve seen young people being targeted, kidnapped and killed, all because they said something that displeased those in power.
We’ve also seen this gang targeting even political figures who’re fearless in their resolve and who’re revealing some of the darkest secrets of the government….and that’s just what’s on public access.
Everyone have been fed fear, such that no matter how bad conditions get, no one will dare open their mouth since no one wants to be the next target by this gang.
But how long will this go before everyone says enough is enough?
Kenyans’ Collective Initiative and Responsibility
If you wait for politicians or your tribal kingpins to fight for you, you’ll die waiting. Furthermore, we’ve all waited for 62 years now for Kenyan politicians to steer this country forward but until now there’s nothing good that’ve come out of it.
Kenyan politicians are just after feeding their stomachs, we’ve witnessed this by the corruption steered by the parliament with its members getting bribed to favor certain motions that are beneficial to those in power.
Basically, Kenya is being run by crooks from every side, but they’re the mouthpieces of “patriotism” and “morality.”
Elections aren’t that far away, but will it be just another of the many had before where the same people, corrupt, and morally bankrupt take positions of power just to siphon on national resources while the rest of Kenyans suffer, or will be the time for change?
Will you just be a sheep, being swayed in whatever direction your tribal leaders point to you without question or individual reasoning for yourself?
Will you remain silent and suffer while you have the power to make a change? What are you going to do to make a change? And are you willing to change and make a change in Kenya?
