RUSSIA – The Russian forces have completely taken control of the eastern parts of Kupyansk according to the Russian Defense Ministry on Tuesday.
“In the area of the village of Kupyansk in the Kharkiv region, assault units of the 6th Army continued to destroy the encircled enemy group. The eastern part of the city has been completely liberated,” a Ministry statement said.
It also added that in the last 24 hours, the Russian forces had liberated around 256 buildings in Krasnoarmeysk.
“Assault groups are conducting active offensive operations, also on the territory of the train depot; 256 buildings have been liberated in the past 24 hours,” the Ministry said.
Ukrainian Attempt to Break Encirclement Thwarted
The Russian Defense Ministry said that an attempt by a group of Ukrainian forces to break encirclement in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) was thwarted.
The attempt was to break through encirclement in the direction of the village of Novoekonomicheskoe in the DPR.
