PAKISTAN – At least 30 people were reported injured in a Karachi fireworks warehouse fire near Taj Complex on MA Jinnah Road on Thursday – 2 are in critical condition according to Rescue 1122’s statement.

The fire caused heavy explosions inside the factory, damaging multiple vehicles parked outside and spreading panic throughout the densely populated commercial area.

According to officials, the injured were taken to a local hospital, with the majority of them suffering injuries from being hit by broken glass.

Television footage showed flames engulfing the structure as firefighters struggled to control the situation.

The cause of the fire was not immediately determined, and police are investigating the incident.

Industrial accidents are common in Karachi, primarily due to inadequate safety standards.
