IRAN – A Jaish al-Adl militant group attack on a police station in Sistan-Baluchestan province, southeastern Iran resulted to 4 deaths, including a police officer according to local reports on Sunday.
“Three terrorists were killed, and two others were detained,” Police Chief Mohammad Reza Eshaghi said in a statement.
The security official added that one police officer also lost his life in the attack.
Sistan-Baluchestan province, located in Iran’s southeast along the Pakistan border, has experienced various attacks by Jaish al-Adl, a militant group designated as a terrorist organization by the Iranian government.
The group claims to defend the rights of the Baluch people in the region.
