21 Palestinians died, including 15 who suffocated from tear gas fired by the Israeli army in Khan Younis city near a US aid distribution point in southern Gaza.
“For the first time, deaths have been recorded due to suffocation and the intense stampede of citizens at aid distribution centers,” the local health ministry stated.
Four Palestinians, including three children, were killed in an Israeli airstrike on a displaced people’s tent in Nuseirat refugee camp, central Gaza Strip.
Israeli warplanes also shelled another home in Jabalia, killing four civilians and injuring 12 others.
In al-Bureij refugee camp, seven Palestinians were killed and others wounded in a strike on a civilian gathering in Block 3. In Block 1, a child was killed and seven others injured in a similar strike on civilians.
In Deir al-Balah, seven Palestinians were killed in two separate Israeli airstrikes. The first hit a group of civilians near al-Mazra’a School, killing four members of one family. The second struck another gathering on al-Hakar Street, killing three more.
Four Palestinians were also killed in a strike near a US-managed aid distribution center along the Netzarim corridor.
One more civilian was killed and others were injured in another Israeli strike targeting the al-Safa building in the camp.
Two Palestinians lost their lives and others were injured in an Israeli airstrike targeting a house in the Sabra neighborhood, south of Gaza City.
Eight other Palestinians, including three children, were killed in Israeli strikes targeting tents for displaced families in the al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis.
The Israeli army also shelled a residential apartment and a coffee shop in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, leaving three people dead.
In Khan Younis of the southern enclave, an Israeli airstrike on displaced people’s tents killed two people and injured others near Attar gas station in the al-Mawasi area west of the city.
A 6-year-old child was also killed and others were injured due to Israeli shelling of displacement tents near Tiberias gas station in al-Mawasi.
Two more were killed in the northeast of the Nuseirat refugee camp, and two others died in a strike on a home in the camp’s western section.
Two members of a family were killed when a home was struck in the Sabra neighborhood of Khan Younis.
