Israeli Strike on Yemen Today
Israeli army launched a series of airstrikes early Monday on the western Yemeni city of Al Hudaydah, media affiliated with the Houthi group reported.
“Israeli enemy aircraft carried out a series of airstrikes on Al Hudaydah,” said Al-Masirah TV.
The Israeli army “is targeting the ports of Al Hudaydah, Ras Isa and Al-Salif and the Ras Kanatib power plant in the city of Al Hudaydah,” the channel said later.
“The Yemeni Air Force is currently confronting the Zionist aggression against our country,” said Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree.
No casualties or material damage have been reported so far.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said in a statement that “the targets also include the ‘Galaxy Leader’ ship that the Houthis hijacked and captured two years ago in the Red Sea,” The Times of Israel reported.
“As I warned, Yemen will be treated like Tehran,” Katz added, repeating a threat last week.
Earlier, the Israeli army issued evacuation warnings for three ports and a power station in western Yemen ahead of airstrikes, citing military activities by the Houthis in the locations.
Army spokesperson Avichay Adraee issued via X “an urgent warning to those present in the ports of Al Hudaydah, Ras Isa, Al-Salif and inside Al Hudaydah power station – Ras al-Katib – which are under the control of the Houthi regime.”
