US Strikes on Iran Nuclear Facilities Coordinated with Israel; Effie Defrin

ISRAEL – The Israeli army spokesperson Brig. Gen. Effie Defrin on Sunday confirmed that the US strikes on Iran nuclear facilities were coordinated with the Israeli army.

He noted that Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir has been “in constant contact” with both the Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff and the head of the US Central Command (CENTCOM) since the beginning of the military campaign against Iran.

“We are preparing for the possibility that the battle will continue. We must be ready for every development, and we are determined to achieve the goals of this operation,” he said.

Commenting on the Iranian missile salvos launched at central and northern Israel on Sunday morning, Defrin accused Tehran of continuing to target civilian areas despite being “weakened.”

According to Defrin, over 20 missiles were launched during the morning attacks, with most intercepted.

US President Donald Trump said early Sunday that his forces bombed three Iranian nuclear sites in Fordo, Natanz and Isfahan.

The attacks came as the latest escalation in a US-backed Israeli military assault on Iran since June 13, prompting Tehran to launch retaliatory attacks on Israel.
