RUSSIA – This’ today’s Russia-Ukraine news updates: A Ukrainian shelling in Kherson region resulted to the injury of 2 civilians according to the local governor, Vladimir Saldo.

He stated that over the last 24 hours, “two residents of Aleshki have suffered as a result of Kiev’s aggression. Two men were injured. Both were hospitalized in the Aleshki Central Regional Hospital.”

Russia Captures New Settlements

The Russian defense ministry on Wednesday announced that the Russian forces had captured new settlements in Donetsk and Sumy Oblast.

In reference to Sumy settlement, the ministry said that “as a result of active actions, units of the North group of troops completed the liberation of the village of Kondratovka in Sumy Oblast.”

In reference to the DPR settlement, the ministry stated that “units of the Zapad group of forces liberated the settlement of Redkodub in the Donetsk People’s Republic.”

The ministry added that they defeated formations of three mechanized, assault and airmobile brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the areas of the settlements of Chistovodovka, Kupyansk, Glushchenkovo, Borovaya, Peschanoye, Olgovka, Andreyevka in the Kharkov region and Volchy Yar in the Donetsk People’s Republic.

Russia will Inevitably Retaliate from Recent Ukrainian Drone Attack on Russian Airfields

The former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev on Tuesday stated that Russia will inevitably respond from the Ukrainian drone attack on Russian airfields as well as the various sabotage efforts undertaken inside Russia by the Ukrainian forces.

He stated that the Russian army “is on an active offensive and will continue its push forward. Everything that needs to be blown up will be, and those who need to be eliminated will be.”

He stressed the Russian resolve to eliminate all traces of neo-Nazi in Ukraine, adding that the Russia-Ukraine talks are necessary.

Russian Attack in Kharkiv Region Injures 1

The Kharkiv Mayor, Ihor Terekhov on Wednesday said that Russia had launched a combined attacks in the region overnight using shahed drones and missiles, resulting to one person being injured.

“Based on updated information from our Situational Center, the enemy used nine Shahed drones and two missiles — type still being identified — to attack Kharkiv last night. Fires broke out at four locations in the industrial zone, and a private residence also caught fire,” he said.

The Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, added that in the Novobavarskyi district, “missile strikes ignited a fire at a civilian enterprise. A one-story industrial building was damaged. A 30-year-old man was injured.”
