NIGERIA – A terrorist attack on military base in Borno state Nigeria on Wednesday by the Daesh-affiliated terrorist group ISWAP killed 8 soldiers, according to authorities.

A military official said ISWAP members attacked a military base in the village of Kauwa in Borno state.

The official said 23 other soldiers were injured in the assault.

Nigeria has faced years of violence from armed gangs and terrorist groups, including Boko Haram and ISWAP, in several parts of the country.
