IRAN – An armed attack on Iran’s Sistan and Baluchestan province on Sunday left at least 2 workers dead after a vehicle carrying mine workers was attacked in the province’s capital, Zahedan.

Unidentified individuals opened fire on the vehicle, according to Iranian media reports.

The attack left two others injured.

Zahedan’s police chief said in a statement that efforts are ongoing to approach the attackers.
