Removal of Sanctions a Priority for Tehran

The expected technical US-Iran nuclear talks will also seek to remove sanctions imposed by Washington on Tehran.

The technical delegation from Iran not only include the nuclear experts, but also those of sanctions.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Esmaeil Baqaei, had earlier stated that “termination of unlawful and inhumane sanctions in an objective and speedy manner is a priority that we seek to achieve.”

He also added that while Washington appears concerned with Iran’s nuclear program, “we are resolved to secure our nation’s legitimate and lawful right to use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes while taking reasonable steps to demonstrate that our program is entirely peaceful.”
